Hello?

I'm so very glad you decided to stop in.  Grab something you like to drink and let me tell you a little story of how I got here.   I became a nurse (LPN) in 1997.  I was already a wife and a mother as well as a full time nurse in a wide variety of settings (hospital, clinic, rehab, PTSD, chiropractic).  Some of these stories are from those years.

As all of my children left home, I felt the need to take on yet another challenge - I went back to school for my Registered nurse license and then for a master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  Life was busy and stressful.  Then my marriage of 28 years crumbled in front of me.  I have always written as a way to process whatever is going on at any given time, but as my entire life and everything I knew was turned upside down, it was the only way I was able to work through it.

I began to take the everyday challenges, emotions and situations and step back to evaluate them as if watching them through a different lense.  I also realized that for each player in any given story, there are as many different perspectives.  This is only one; mine.

About how I arrived at the name, The Pause Between Breaths?  Well, you will need to read the first entry for that answer.   I had a different blog page but lost it and all the contents.  I am adding them back in here as well as entering new posts, just to keep you guessing.  Enough about me......

How did you get here?  I don't know that I can answer that, but while you are here stay as long as you'd like.  I hope you find a little break from all the "noise" for just a moment here at The Pause Between Breaths.
